Chester, died Wednesday in Cobequid Medical Center, Lower Sackville, Born in Halifax, she was the former Heather Dalkeith. She is survived by six sons. Thomas, New Zealand, Jack, Paul, Eugene, all of Chester; Philip, Halifax; Twin, Waverley; three daughters, Ursula (Mrs. Alexander Campbell), Oromocto, N.B; Faith (Mrs. Alphonzo O'Kern), Oshawa Ont.; May (Mrs. Anthony Keasbey), New York; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Hyslop; her second husband William Lawson; three sons Clive, Ian; Alonzo; a daughter, Ivy. The body is in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. visiting 2-4, 7-9 pm today and sunday. Funeral will be 10 am Monday in Emmanuel Anglican Church. Rev. James Purchase officiating, assisted by Rev. HYSLOP, Jack EarleHYSLOP, Jack Earle - 84, Chester, died August 6, 2005, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Thomas and Eva "Heather" (Amirouett) Hyslop. Sgt. Jack E. Hyslop C.I.C. served overseas during the Second World War from 1939-1945 with the 16th Canadian Field Security Unit (Canadian Intelligence Corps, First Canadian Army). Following the war, he returned to Halifax where he was employed at the TB lab and later as a biochemist with Dr. Bud Harlow at Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax. Jack was also a part-time chemistry teacher at Dalhousie University and ended his career as a science teacher at Chester Elementary School. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Butler Branch 44, Chester, and a member of Chester United Baptist Church. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling the province and walking. Jack is survived by his wife, Alice (Cross) (Neaves); sons, David (Betty Jean), Chester; John (Kathy), Chester Grant; daughter, Elizabeth (Hal) Cox, Middleton; stepdaughter, Debbie (Russell) Deveau, Dartmouth; stepsons, Kevin Neaves, Chester; Dwight (Teri) Neaves, Chester Basin; foster son, Nelson (Wendy) Bond, New Minas; grandchildren, Joshua, Katie and Jared Hyslop, Nicole and Adam Cox; stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Jason Deveau; foster grandsons, Kyle and Nathan Bond. He was predeceased by his first wife, Reta Whalen; stepson, Skippy Cross. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A memorial service to be announced at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Chester United Baptist Church Expansion Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester.
