Confined at Old Capitol Prison, Washington, D.C.. Transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, August 8, 1863. Transferred to Elmira, New York, August 1864. Paroled at Elmira onMarch 10, 1865, and transferred to Boulware's Wharf, James River, Virginia, where he was received on March 15, 1865, for exchange."

I remember him very well.  He was a big man with bushy hair.  Quiet and very strict.  If the grandkids got into mischief he would push on our heads with his big thumb.  It seemed to me he had the biggest thumbin the world.
