Carbon County News 2/5/76 Anton Celeste Road (should be Roat) died Jan 28, at his home of an extended illnes. He was born Mar. 5, 1904, the son of Paul and mary Roat on the family ranch west of Red Lodge. He attended Red Lodge High school and the University of Idaho at Moscow, Id., studying in forestry. In 1937 he married Helvi Salo in Red Lodge. During the 1920's he built log cabins and guided dudes for Al Croonquist at Camp Senia. He also built several summer cabins near Camp Senia and Richel Lodge and also did log barn building in the Clarks Fork area near Cooke City. He worked in the Red Lodge and Brophy Coal mines, retiring in 1965. He loved the mountains and had made many trips from Camp Senia to Cooke City, both on foot and horseback, across the rugged Beartooth range. Prospecting for gold was his major hobby and he pursued this in his spare time for over 40 years in the Helena area. Survivors include his wife Helvi; three sons, Brian, Helena, Anthony, Fall City, Wa., and Paul of Fairbanks, Ak., one daugher; Katherine Pohlman of Butte; a sister Mary Pilati of Red Lodge; two brothers, Adolph and Phillip, both of Red Lodge, and four grandchildren. Memorial services were at 10:30 a.m. Jan 31 in the Chapel of the Olcott Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Charles Tresner, Toivi Kansala, Lee Christiansen, Richard Roat, Albert Martin and Doanld Glenn.
