NOTE: taken captive by Indians on Wilderness Road to Kentucky, 10 Oct 1773. Later escaped with excetion of son, Samuel W., who was raised by Indians. Traveled with Daniel Boone's party.
He married Ann Elizabeth Whiteside 1739 at Oldhams, Westmoreland, Virginia . Ann Elizabeth Whiteside was born at Albemarle, Virginia 1720 .
