In a Bible I found a note about Soloman's Family. It acounts for all the children expect William and Lucy Belle. It list all children and if they were dead of alive. This is the note; Soloman F Funk - died in Shohomish, Washington Ellen Nora Smith - Born Feb 24 in Kansas - Died Oct 1900 in Washington Snohomish, Cemetery Children- Rufus, Elliot Funk - gone Clara M. Funk Gibson - gone Alpus - gone Lulu - Willie Allen, born in Ill. - Died Lucy May - gone Harvey - gone Ethel Lester Nora Stella - Passed away I have a copy of this note in my file. I have since checked my Census to find that all these children except Stella, are listed, the first four on the 1880 census, and the rest on the 1900 census. Stella is listed on a family note in the family records as being their last child. So I think we're there on who is and is not their children. This couple married in 1869, in Berry, Pike, Illinois. They lived there till sometime after1886. They then moved to Wallace, Lincoln, Nebraska. In Washington, Shohomish, and Everett are mentioned which is where they moved next. Need to see a map. INFO: Family records compiled by Mary Louise Crane FUNK; and Mrs Max Hegewald of Monroe Washington; Notes;Solomon had a farm 10 miles North of Waallace Nebraska and moved to Washington as there was better fruit and truck garden; He had brothers named Oscar and David;
On the Family Search Oscar Funk is listed as being born in ,,Nebraska? I don't think they got that right because before and after him are in Quincy, Adams, Illinois.
