            Dated: 30 Dec 1756
            Recorded: 1 May 1759

Samuel Buss (Senr.) left his land to wife Sarah Bugg for life and at her death to son Jacob Bugg. Samuel Bugg of Henrico County purchased 150 acres of land on south side of Roanoke River from John Hyde 16 Jan 1752. John Hyde sold an additional 195 acres to Samuel Bugg, Senr., 7 Aug 1753. Samuel Bugg, Senr., does not appear to have moved to Mecklenburg County at once, but his son Edmund Bugg is listed in the tithe list for 1752 and evidently had moved to the land.

Sherwood Bugg purchased 100 acres of land on south side of Roanoke River from William Wood on 7 Jan 1752; and he is listed with son John Bugg (over 16) in the tithe list for that year.

Samuel Bugg (Junr.) purchased 400 acres of land on the north side of the Roanoke River from Henry Howard 22 May 1752. The deed states Samuel Bugg of Amelia County. Henry Howard, on the same day, sold 400 acres of land on north side of the river adjoining this land to Jacob Bugg of Chesterfield County.

Samuel Bugg, Senr., was, inferentially, the son of Samuel Bugg of New Kent County, and Deborah Bugg, his wife.
