We estimated her death pretty well. In 1993 I went to the Riverside Cemetery
in Kalamazoo and found her headstone with the Elkerton plot. I went to the
office to find information about her and she was not listed on the index but
she was listed on the plot plan, so the woman added her to the index book. I
couldn't find a death certificate for her so I went to the library and found an
obituary in The Morning Gazette of Tuesday May 10, 1881, from which I gathered
the remainder of my information.
