I don't know why Soloman Colegrove dosen't have his last name unless he married Persis Colegrove as a widow and Solomon was already born and Norman Sutliff didn't adopt him.

Persis Colegrove is listed as mother on Solomon Colegrove's marriage record in Family Search.org. Batch #M018060. I think that maybe she was married before and used her married name on her marriage certificate instead of her maiden name, why else would her son have her maiden name as his last name. May 2007
There were two references to her birth in Family Search.org. I'm only using this as her birthdate because she is the only Persis Colegrove and she was born in Pennsylvania. Her son Solomon listed P ennsylvania as his birthplace on his marriage certificate. There were two film numbers the first was fillm #456496 the second was film #184256 pg #733 ref. #15388. The information on both of these was the same.
