There is no record of birth.  She was told by her mother that she and her twin brother Chris were born in Los Angeles.

A Dr. Sugar came to the house to deliver the babies.  My grandmother said that the doctor pulled Artemis out then said "Oh one more, one more." She and Chris were twins.

My grandmother told my mother that they lived on Central Avenue in Los Angeles. However she would mention lots of towns such as Huntington Park, Watts, San Pedro, Santa Monica, Long Beach and Downey.

The Greeks don't name their babies untill they are Christened, so the doctor may have recorded the births but we don't know what name he would have used or if he even registered the babies birth at all.

In 1923 the family went to Tacoma for 6 months and when they returned a baby boy was born but he died.  Ponie was born on February 12, 1925.

I was looking on the 1930 census and found my mother as Martha Bulldis.  Somehow she got this name when she started school and the teacher couldn't say Artemis so they called her Martha.  Ponie always called her Art, short for Artemis.  Chris called her Marth short for Martha.

My mother is burried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery with my father in Section X grave #2153.  She was burried on the 29th of October 2010
