Israel ROBESON
In the tax list of 1768 he is taxed in Berks County on 400 acres of land. He was connected with St. Gabriel's Church in 1737,but is not buried there. "WCP" at RootsWeb titled "Descendants of James Pelter of Virginia" compiled by Kathy Henderson - updated 26 Srp 2002, contained listing of 9 children for Israel Robeson (b. 1688, West New Jersey) and (unknown spouse. IGI said he was of Greenwich Township, Glouchester, N.J.
Named in cousin Rudman Robeson's will. Seems to have been unmarried.
The Bird family moved to County Severn Georgia, and were living there in 1795, when the son, Israel, wrote to his uncle Moses Robeson in PA. This is the last message there seems to be of the Bird family. Black Creek could be in Tattnall County, GA.
Not named in father's will, so she probably wasn't living.
Buried at St. Gabriel's Church in Douglassville. Headstone reads "Moses Robeson, died Oct 19, A.D. 1792, aged 71 years 3 months, 14 days". Buried next to Andrew Robeson, Jr. Christianna (Mose's wife is buried next to him).
Her father apparently lived with her.
Settled in Georgia. There were several other childreen, but as he settled in Georgia, nothing more is known about them. Sylvanus appointed John Kerlin of Amity PA. his attorney to recover and sell his land in Berks County, PA. (probably left him by his father.) Sylvanus is spoken of at that time aas living in Liberty County, Parish of St. John, Province of Georgia.
Died young.
Her marriage is recorded at St.Gabriel's Episcopal Church, so I guess it was performed there. Her residence was given as "Robeson Township,Berks County,PA at the time of her wedding.
