Sheriff's sale: All of these lots of ground situatem lying and being in the Borough of Abbottstown, Adams County, PA., and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:-
Lot No. 1. Fronting on Main or King Street and running back to Fleet Street adjoining lot formerly of David E. Hollinger, deceased, on the East and lot formerly of John Hoffman on the West, and known on the general plan of the Town as Lot No. 38; it being the same lot of ground, the righr of which was vested in Tempest Wilson; who being seized thereof died intestate, and whereas George A. Wilson, a son and lawful heir of the said deceased, accepted the above house and lot of ground at the apprasiement thereof, and the said George W. Wilson and Louisa, his wife, by their indenture duly executed and bearing date the 11th day of April, A.D. 1856, did grant, convey, and confirm the same lot of ground no 38 to Michael Hoffman and to his heirs and assigns forever;............

                   30 May 2010 - I am putting this together. Louise Wilson, a widow, was living with her son-in-law in Jun 1880. He was a widower. He had 5 kids, the smallest a William was 7 months - so that would make him born about Dec 1879.
An Amelia Walter died in York County in Apr 1880, aged 31.
