                   The Gettysburg Times 23 Aug 1976 - Charles W. Baker
Charles W. Baker, 86, formerly of Abbottstown R. 1, and more recently a guest at the Brethern Home, New Oxford R. 1, died this morning at the Hanover Hospital where he had been admitted Saturday.
A son of George B. and Catherine (Shaffer) Baker, he was a member of St Johns Lutheran Church, Abbottstown.
Surviving are his widow, the former Bertha Eliza Rodgers, Brethern Home, New Oxford  R. 1, and eight children: Mervin E. Baker, C. Merle Baker, Mrs. Elwood Alleman, Thomas M. Baker, Mrs. Harold A Huff, and Arman E. Baker, all of Abbottstown R. 1; Mrs. Richard H. Hagerman, Hanover R. 4 and Mrs. Martin P. Newcomer, Allentown.
Also surviving are 25 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three brothers; Mervin H. Baker, Abbottstown, George E. Baker, Abbottstwon R. 1 and Walter Baker, Abbottstown.
Funeral services will be Wed afternoon, Interment will be in the church cemetery.
