                   OBITUARY: VETERAN OF BOTH WORLD WARS, PRR SERVICE EXPIRESAdie B. Keller, 71, of Turkey Valley, Hollidaysburg, RD 2, veteran of both World Wars and retired foreman of the Altoona Works steel shop, died at 4:45 p.m. yesterday in Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted Jan. 4, after a lengthy illness.He was born in Duncansville on June 7, 1897, a son of Samuel A. and Maude (Wertz) Keller and was twice married, first to Florence J. Stiffler, who died Dec. 9, 1954, and Sept. 15, 1956, to Inez Saylor in Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg.Surviving are his wife, who was admitted yesterday to Altoona Hospital suffering from a heart ailment; a daughter, Mrs. Polly Liebegott of Duncansville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Shirley Dietze of Altoona; four grandchildren, and a brother Samuel W. of Altoona.Mr. Keller was a member of Fort Fetter Post, American Legion, and a member and past commander of the Duncansville VFW Post. He was a veteran of Army service and retired in 1946 with the rank of major from a railway battalion.He retired in 1962 from the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. and more recently had been employed at the Samuel Rea shops, Hollidaysburg, as an inspector for Hunt Associates.Friends will be received in the Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Obituary of Florence J. (Stiffler) Wertz
Mrs. Florence J. Keller, wife of Adie B. Keller of 1313 Fifth avenue, Duncansville, died at her home at 7.40 o'clock this morning after an extended illness. She was born in Cross Keys Dec. 16, 1900, a daughter of Frank and Louella (Stiffer) Stiffler, and married Mr. Keller at Cumberland, Md., March 3, 1920. Mrs. Keller was a member of the Duncansville Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Polly Liebegott of Duncansville; two grandchildren and her father. Polly E. Liebegott

Dec. 31, 1920 - May 31, 2006  Polly E. Liebegott, 85, of 1312 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, died Wednesday at the Presbyterian Home in Hollidaysburg. Born in Duncansville, she was the daughter of the late Adie Boyd and Florence J. (Stiffler) Keller. She was married to Donald E. Liebegott May 11, 1946, at Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. G.B. Harman.  Mrs. Liebegott was a 1938 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She attended Zeth Business School. She worked at Gable?s Department Store and then the AAA office in Altoona. Then, along with her husband, Donald, they owned and operated the Liebegott Funeral Home in Duncansville from 1951-94.  Polly was an active lifelong member of Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Stitchers. She also was a member of the Duncansville VFW auxiliary.  She is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters: Linda and husband, Bill Adams; and Vicky Mielnik, all of Duncansville; four grandchildren: Wendy and husband, Manik Rath, of Vienna, Va.; Joshua Adams and wife, Tiffany, of Charlottesville, Va.; Jessica and husband, Mike Deene, of Baltimore; and Donny Mielnik of Duncansville; and one great-grandson, Logan Deene.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and l p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville (www.Liebegott-Brown.  com). A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor Jaime Olson.  A committal service will take place at Polly?s favorite place to gather with friends and family, her front porch. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
