William ROBESON
Kept a shepherd and had large flocks of sheep, he raised flax, instead of cotton.
He was born on the "Ashwood" Plantation. I have that he also died there. Somewhere it was called Ashbrook. "Ashwood" plantation in Bladen County, NC is on the west bank of the Cape Fear River about 20 miles south of Elizabethtown, NC. Janie Wright Robeson was John Alexander Robeson's child.
