                   A distinguished jurist of Maryland, he resided in St. George's County, Maryland, where he died in his 87th year.  He was a cousin to Francis Scott Key. Had seven children with his 2nd wife. He is buried with his first wife in the family vault under the church at Cheptico, Maryland.
