Native of Princeton,N.J. and a graduate of Princeton College - Class 1808. He studied law with Chancellor Williamson of Elizabethtown and was admitted to the bar of N.J. in 1812. In 1839 he was candidate for Gov. He was a warm personal friend and one of the legal advisors of the ex-King of Spain, Joseph Bonaparte, (who resided in Bordentown during his exile). He was the first mayor of Trenton to be chosen by the people. He was a descendent through his father, of the Massachusetts pilgrim settler, Edward Fitz-Randolph: and of the Dennis and Manning families of N.J. Through his mother, of the Joline and Ross families of Elizabethtown, N.J. Kings Meadow had a death date of 13 Aug 1858. Quartermaster general of the state of NJ. 1830 - 1855. Was the first Mayor of Trenton to be elected by the people.
