       Edwin was born in Duchess County, New York in 1821 and came with his parents to Norwich Ont. His wife's name was Louis Averill.
       They moved to Strathroy, Ont. and later to Watertown and Freemont Twps., Michigan. They had 7 children.
       Edwin died Feb 2 1892 in his 70th year. His wife Louis died Sept 21, 1891 in her 69th year. They are both buried in the cemetery at Mayville, Michigan.

   A record in Norwich Archives States that he came to Canada by horse andbuggy in his parents arms.
