William B. HILLIKER

      William was born in the US and married Catherine Lossing {(from the Dean Family file). Catherines's mother, Patty Ann Yewell(Jewell) had a grandfather, Henry Yewell who had married Elizabeth Hilliker. Catherine's parents were Andrew B. 1790-1825 and Martha "Patty" Ann Yewell 1792-1878}
      [William lived at the Gore and the Gore opposite.  He moved there in 1854. The 1857 census also lists Andrew as a farmer. There are records from 1851 to 1876 for William at the Gore. The 1876 map shows a school and church on his lot. William and Catherine are buried at the Gore. The school property burned in 1976.
      Sarah Ann's marriage record shows her b 1849 married William Sherwood b about 1837. She is buried in Otterville.
      The obituary for Mary Elizabeth says the two sisters, Mary and Elvina, lived alone together in the family home at the Gore with Elvina dying July 1, 1915. Surviving sisters are recorded as being Mrs. Sherwood of Otterville and Mrs.Rychman of Weidman, Michigan.
      Catherine's obituary lists Mrs. Albert Stenvenson of Woodstock, Mrs. Cj.C. Rychman, St. John,s, Michigan,Mrs. William Sherwood, Summerville.
      The grave marker records Andrew's wife as Samantha Kenney b 1848 d 1922 in Los Angeles.  They married oct 22, 1867.
