      Giles was recorded on the north half of Lot 1 Concession 6 in 1820. His lot was beside John's and south of William's. Giles bought 100 acres at Lot 1 Concession 6 on Sept. 20, 1825 from Joseph Lancaster. He sold it on Sept 14, 1841 to Michael Stover. [The Dean Family file at the Norwich Archives traces Daniel Hilliker, son of Giles. Daniel was born Feb22, 1822 (Feb 19 1819 in Dean Family file) and was a blacksmith in Elgin County in 1851 and in 1861.
      Giles is recorded on the 1861 census as living with Daniel.
      Daniel's second wife as Mary A. Stall Edgar - married June 23, 1884.
