                   BIRTH: He believed that he had been born in 1787, or 12 Feb 1789

NOTE: the 1836 tax lists of Lauderdale County, Tennessee, revealed that James Blair was living there and owned 150 acres of land.  (Lauderdale had been formed from part of Dyer County in 1835.)  This same tax list also revealed that Benjamin Jordan's heirs were taxed in 1836.
