Elizabeth Reeves was disinherited by her family for joining the Mormon Church. She gave up everything; her family, her inheritance, and lived a poor life. Her husband was on missions a lot and she practically raised the children. He had several wives. Commodore & Elizabeth were members of the LDS Church organized 16 April 1848, in Cooville, Pottawatomie County, Iowa(now Greewood). Elizabeth Reeves Liston had sugar diabetes and died as a result of it.
He married Elizabeth Reeves 21 Jul 1844 at Muncie, Delaware, Indiana . Elizabeth Reeves was born at Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio 16 Jun 1822 daughter of Elijah Reeves and Mahala Nottingham .
