D.D. L.L. A prominent minster and author. He published "Life of Dr. McGregor", "History of Pictou", "Life of Reverend Geddie, D.D.", "Memoirs of Johnstone and Matherson", "Doctrine of the Trinity", and many other works. He was reported to have given a great "impulse" to the missions in his church. He was also an authority on archeology. He was vert interested in genealogy and was the chief authority in regards to the Nova Scotia line of Harris families, in the Colonial George Steuart and MarthaHarris book.
was reported to be a man of the highest standing. He was once a member of the highest house in Parliament (?? Canadian).
