Frank Simon Newcomb, MD. Born Sept 21, 1892, in Corinth, Mississippi. Died 17 Mar1974. Volunteered in American Ambulance and Field Service Corp and saw active service in France from Apr 1917 to the end of WWI. His group was twice awarded the Croix de Guirre; and he was individually awarded the Croix de Guirre with silver star. He was a graduate of the University of Chicago and the Rush Medical Scholl. He practiced medicine in CA for 50 years and in Pasadena since 1926.
He is survived by his son Norman Bridge Newcomb, and daughter, Mae Newcomb Hansen; and seven grandchildren, Richard, Dorothy, Loretta, Stephen, Frank, Mary and Norman Hansen. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 11 Am in Mountain View Mausoleum Chapel.
He married Nancy Caroline Gillis 13 Aug 1877 . Nancy Caroline Gillis was born at Kaufman, Texas 10 May 1853 .
