                   David E. Robeson when 29 years of age, went to Lewiston, PA. in the employ of the PA Railroad. In 1865, he was elected Cashier of the Mifflin County National Bank, and continued in that position until his death 30 years later.
He was educated in the public schools. At age 16 he became saleman in a store atBirmingham, PA. in which position he displayed such ability as to lead to his appointment as station agent and freight agent at Lewistown Junction. This position he resigned in 1865 to assume the duties of cashier of the National Bank of Lewiston, which he continued to perform until his death. He was a Republican, interested in local affairs, and although not an office seeker, was elected to various posts in the borough. The family attended the Methodist Episcopal church, ofwhich David was a faithful member.
