Andrew D. Robeson One of Sinking Valley's Well known and highly educated residents died. At his home in Sinking Valley, about 5 miles from Tyrone, Andrew D. Robeson, after a lingering and painful illness, passed away at 7:20 oclock last night. He was afflicted with internal cancer and was a severe sufferer for the past year ofso. The deceased was born on Feb 22, 1830, and was aged at death 68 years and 8 months. His birthplace was at the Cillage of Foot - of Ten, at the foot of thesouth incline of the old Portage railway, in Allegheny township, near Hollidaysburg. Previous to becoming a farmer in Sinking Valley he had resided for seven years inthe well known stone house .at Shoenberger station. 40 years ago he moved upon the farm where he continued to reside uninterupitedly until his death. His wife, whose maiden name was Margaret Bobbm survives him, together with two daughter and two sons, Mrs, Woods Smith, Wilbur O., Charles Albert, and Anna M., all of SInking Valley. He is also survived by a sister and brother, Mrs. John London (? Louden) of Altoona, and Samuel Robeson, of Allegheny township; and 2 step brothers, Robert and Horace Robeson of Altoona. Mr. Robeson was a consistent and active member of the Birmingham Presbyterian church, serving many years as trustee and deacon. He was a Republican in politics and took a lively interest in public affairs, serving at various times as scool director, supervisor, tax collector, and in other places of trust for Tyrone township. He was a man of endearing personality, highly respected by all who knew him, and especially beloved in the family circle where he will be so sorely missed. The funeral services at his late home at 10 oclock Wed morning. Interment in theMethodist cemetery in Birmingham.

Margaretta Robeson On Tuesday evening at twenty minutes of seven o;clock, Margaretta Robeson, of Sinking Valley, passed into the other world. The cause of her death resulting fromheart failure. Mrs. Robeson was born at Martinsburg, June 23, 1831, making her age at the time of her death 76 years, 11 months and 17 days. In 1859 she moved to Sinking Valley, where she has lived ever since. Her husband, Andrew D. Robeson, died October 22, 1899. Mrs. Robeson was an exemplary christian lady and was an active member of the Birmingham Methodist Episcopal church. She leaves to mourn her death the following children: Mrs. Florence L. Smith, Wilbur O. Robeson, O. A. (? Charles A.), Anna M. Robeson, all of Sinking Valley. Also the following brothers and sister: Major Alex Bobb, of Martinsburg; Peter F.Bobb of Wisconsin, and Mrs. Anna Sheppard of Wisconsin. The funeral will occur on Friday morning at 10 oclock. Interment in the Methodist Cemetery at Birmingham. 1900 - had 6 children, 4 alive in 1900.
