His name figures often in the business transactions of the old church. His children are : William, Joseph Ignatius, now (1892) a Jesuit priest in the province of Maryland, two daughters, all living (1892) Mr. Ziegler married Margaret Jenkins, July 29, 1841. Mrs. Ziegler became a convert during a mission given in the Cathedral of Pittsburg, by Fathers Hewitt, Hecker, and Walworth, in 1857. She is still living. (1892)
