Johann Ernest BURNS
This is unsubstantiated. It is a guess that he may be Aaron's father. Could alsobe BORN. Ernst Born/Burn is believed to have arrived in the New World aboard the ship Friendship which landed in Philadelphia, Oct. 1, 1754. He was in the company of theStiller family. Relationship unknown but the Stillers were baptismal sponsors for the Burns children. Most of the passengers aboard the Friendship were from the Hese or Franconia area. Still don't know if this was our guy or not.
This is a presumption. No definite information.
-His headstone and other records just say Aaron. -His headstone says,"Sacred to the memory of Aaron Burns, Esq. departed 30 Apr 1842, 53 years". -Another record states that he died at Williamsburg, Woodbury TWP, Huntingdon Co, PA. -Will dated April 11, 1842, Codicil dated April 18, 1842. It wason Second Street, where the old Stone Church stood. When the log church was first used as a place of worship by the German people of Williamsburg, the cemeterywas already in use. It seems that the one lot was used as a cemetery shortly after the deed was given by Jacob Ake in 1799. The cemetery is now in a back yard, down an alley. It is very hard to find. The grave markers of John "Aaron" and Anna Mary are still very visible. The cemetery is not marked. I saw the extract from the will at the Huntingdon Historical Library.
