The Gardners of Naragansett Vital Records of D. Kingston and Exeter R.I. I also have a birthplace of N. Kingston Wash. I also have a death date of 1 May 1749. (I used Karen's info).
Married by Christopher Allen, Justice of the Peace. R.I. Vol 5, Pg 2-15. I also have the birthplace as Tiberton, R.I.
Will dated 2 July 1802, Probated 20 Mar 1806. This is what I have written- I don't know what it means- will names wife Ann son Isaacs children living in R.I. -Son Benjamin's son James, also Hannah and Abiah, son Job B. ex?, wife + son Job B. - The family history names at Job Gardners's children Lobdell, William, Benjamin and Wheelock.

Gardner brothers Joshua, Benjamin and Nathaniel came very early, also other Gardners. NYR 2 p 492-494. Also have birthplace as Kingstown, Washington, R.I. Also have Exeter as a marriage place. Also have a different marriage date: 11 Nov 1755, and a different marriage place as Stephentown, Rensselaer, N.Y. I used Karen's information. Hemarried, March 22, 1726-7, Mary Howland, and died before 1753. Children of Benjamin and Mary (Howland) Gardner Abiel Gardner, was born Jan. 20, 1727-8. He married Ruth Perry, a daughter of Benjamin, and died Jan. 8, 1801. Benjamin Gardner,was born _____, and married May (Nov.?) 11, 1752 (1753?), Elizabeth Olin, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Olin, of Exeter. Joshua Gardner, was born _____, and married, Feb. 22, 1763, Mercy Tanner. She died Dec. 4, 1804, aged 63. He married, second, Elcy, who died March 4, 181 6, aged 60 years. He had twelve children, all of whom died before 1829, when he died. These are tombstone records from Stephentown, N. Y. Job Gardner, was born in 1731, and died in 1800. He married, first, Hannah Britton (also fromStephentown), and, second, ______.Caleb Gardner, married, March 18, 1761, Almy Aylesworth. She was born Dec. 28, 1739. They settledinStephentown.
Also have a birth year as 1743.I used the one that the geneological society had approved. He had 3 wives. Mercy Tanner, Eley, and ? Has 13 children. Moved to Stephentown from Conn.
Might have been born in Kingston. Settled in Washington, Dutches County, NY. N.Y. 48, Vol 4, p 170.
Moved from R.I. (NYR 2B Vol 1, pg 34) to Hancock, Berkshire County, Mass. on Apr13 1767. He purchased 100 acres of land from Asa Dauglas of Conn. His wheat wasdelivered to the Schodac landing on the Hudson River. Hancock Mass. is in BerksCounty, just over the borderline from Steventown, N.Y. Stephentown was first settled in 1765 by pioneers from R.I.
Also have the name as Alise or Alse. Buried in the old Gardner burying grounds NYR 2 p 495.
