Robert STEWART
Deer Creek became Churchville, MD. Probably received his name from his uncle Dr.Robert Harris, of Philadelphia. He is mentioned as "Bobbie". Moved to Tuscarora Valley in 1775, and lived there, Harris Mills (now Doyle's Mills) until he reached adulthood. Sold his share of the paternal farm in 1790. In 1797 he moved West, first to Nine Mile Run, Allegheny Co, PA (probably with his youngest sister Sutia and her husband), then onto Butler Co, PA., where in 1803, a Robert Stewart was taxed for 170 acres in Middlesex Township, Butler, PA. Between 1810 and 1812, he moved to Meyers' Run (or Turtle Creek), Allegheny, PA (about 12 miles out of Pittsburg), the family remained for only a short time before finally moving to Allegheny Township (afterwards City) on the northern side of the Allegheny river, opposite Pitturgh. 29 Sep 1814, he bought a lot on the NW corner of Federal and Diamond streets. Was the oldest brick building in town. Religion: Presbyterian. Profession: blacksmith, cutler, and sickle maker. Probably learned his trade at Mifflintown. For some years he kept a hotel, and also ran the ferry between Allegheny and Pittsburg. The tavern was located a short distance above Federal St. on the banks of the river. Died at his nephew John Harris Stewart's home. Licking Creek is near Mifflintown. Carson family tree had birthdate of 1774 in East Donegal, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United Strates, he died 1835 in PA.

This was originally called Mifflin County. Born in a stone house on the banks ofthe Juniata River. She lived in Mifflin, Allegheny, and Butler Counties as a young girl. She lived in the town of Allegheny (then called Allegheny Town), almost all of her life except when she lived in Tuscarora Valley between 1826- 1828. Religion: Presbyterian. Joined the First Presbyterian Church, Pittsburg in 1822.In 1826, she transferred her membership to the Associate Reformed Church of Tuscarora. 1828, she joined the First A.R. Church in Pittsburgh. 1831 she joined the First A.R. Church in Allegheny, which remained her home until her death in 1883. She was 5'5 1/2 ", fair complexion, brown hair and blue eyes. She died at # 202 North Ave., Allegheny. She had lived there for 54 years. She died from a complication of diseases.
Died from Cholera Infantum. Tombstone is in Uniondale Cemetery.
Spent the greater part of his life in Allegheny town. Appearance: about 6', dark curly hair and dark eyes. Education: limited Military: Lieutenant in a company of "Pittsburgh Blues". Died from Typhus fever. Initially interred in the Academy (or Presbyterian) graveyard, near Seminary Hill. Later his remains were moved to Uniondale Cemetery.
Unmarried. Lived in Allegheny for most of her life. Appearance: Tall, large frame, dark complexion, dark hair and eyes. Education: Limited Religion: Presbyterian. Died of consumption.
Lived most of his life in or near Allegheny. Appearance: Tall, dark complexion, dark curly hair. Education: Limited Occupation: Wagoning across the Allegheny mts, later in the iron business; Treasurer of Allegheny for 2 years, was also director of the Allegheny Poor Board. Religion: Presbyterian. Died at his home, from an abscess of the liver. Initially the cemetery was called the Mt. Union Cemetery.
Appearance: Much like his older brother Thomas. Education: Religion: A.R. (later U.P.) Church. Occupation: wagoning, later farming. Residence: As a child, Allegheny; later in Shaler Township, Allegheny County; later in Springdale, on the Allegheny River, about 16 miles above the city.
