Learned the tanning trade on the eastern side of the Tuscarora Valley. Later moved to Alexandria, PA. in 1802. Lived at Harris Mills (now Doyle's Mills) in Juniata County. He was willed Harris mills, later selling it to the Doyle's. They moved to Alexandria, PA. Politically: Jeffersonian Democrat. Religion: Presbyterian. The death date on the headstone is erroneous.
