Notes:
I also have the birthdate as Oct 1, 1748, and Sep 30, 1748. I took the Kings Meadow account. Peter was a dignified and courtly gentlemen, of what is called the "Old School". He and his brother Jonathan repurchased the old Robeson place, "Shoomac Park," at Roxboro in 1789, and farmed the land, and carried the mills (flour and saw mills). There was a "Robeson" Meeting house in their vicinity. Peter and Jonathan appear to have shared the homestead, as a plaque stated that the "children of "Peter" and the children of "Jonathan" were born in this house. It was a large double house. After the death of Jonathan, Peter bought Jonathan's interest, and here lived the rest of his life. Here it was that he entertained the Duke de la Rochefoucault-Liancourt, when touring America in 1795. Peter's wives were cousins, both being descended form the settler Thomas Livezey.
