Moved from R.I. (NYR 2B Vol 1, pg 34) to Hancock, Berkshire County, Mass. on Apr13 1767. He purchased 100 acres of land from Asa Dauglas of Conn. His wheat wasdelivered to the Schodac landing on the Hudson River. Hancock Mass. is in BerksCounty, just over the borderline from Steventown, N.Y.
Stephentown was first settled in 1765 by pioneers from R.I.
