Herman Henrich KRAMER
NOTES 1. Johan came to America in 1853 with his uncle Anton Kramer 2. The birth dates of Clem, Mary and Josephine have been aproximated.
NOTES Franz came to America wih his sister Agnes and her husband Gerhard Beckmann about 1857. After marrying Mary Ellen, they setteled on a farm five miles east of Dyersville neighboring Carl Kramer homestead. They retired to South Dyersville in 1905. Frqank was the organizer and first secretary of the Hickory Valley Creamery.
NOTES Clem was a part owner and operator of a general store and harness shop known as Rohenkohl and Kramer. In 1879 he took took up farming two miles east of Dyersville. His first wife dies in 1890 and he later married Elizabeth Reitz. He sepnt his last years on a farm near Lexington, Oklahoma. He died enroute to the funeral of his brother Frank. Unidentified, he was buried in Kansas City, Missouri. A week later, his family hearing he had not arrieved in Dyersville traced him to Kansas City, They had him exhumed and reburied in Lexington.
NOTES Carl came to America with his sister, Agnes nad her husband, Gerhard Beckmann and his brother, Franz. Carl married on the same day as his sister and Frank Klostermann and also with Frank Osterhaus and Elizabeth Klaus. they celebrated their Silver Anniversary together on Charles' farm and were stranded there for two days by a snowstorm. They also celebrated their Golden Anniversary together. Married daugthers Mrs. J. J. O'Brien and Mrs. Al friedman were listed in the Dyersville Book.
He married Maria Catharina Krogaman 28 Jan 1835 at Steinfeld, Oldenburg, Germany . Maria Catharina Krogaman was born at Steinfeld, Oldenburg, Germany 17 Jun 1810 daughter of Johann Henrich Krogaman and Maria Catherina Fortmann .
