BADGER: Edmund W. (1788 - 1846) appears on the 1840 county tax list as #874; he owned $110  worth of horses, $55 cattle, $20 wagons, and $62 in other property; taxes were $1.24. Illinois VA records indicate Mr. Badger was a veteran of the War of 1812.

                   On a form sent to me March 2000 by Donna Williams it records David as being a farmer who fought in the Mormon War. McDonough County Census bear out that he was a farmer.
On Louie Bell Badger's Birth certificate (David's 10th child) it lists David as being born in Sagamon County,Illinois. The source says "brother - J.D. Badger".
