    Advertiser; dated 2 DEC 1801, Ann Stockton married William Creighton. Sr.
    other items indicate William was an attorney in Ross Co. and had lots for sale
    in Chillicothe (Ross Co., OH). He was Sheriff 1808-1812
    William was a Justice of the Peace and sheriff in Ross Co, and the first
    Postmaster in Scioto Twsp, Ross Co. A nephew, William Creighton, Jr, was a
    prominent attorney in Ross Co., designer of the Great Seal of Ohio, and first
    Secretary of State for Ohio. Both men were pioneer businessmen in Chillicothe
